Workforce Training: Career Pathways
RPTA is a designated Workforce Training provider by the City of Minneapolis for adults from ages 18 and up.
RPTA has been providing IT career training classes for several years. This program allows students to obtain the training they need to obtain IT certifications and secure high demand jobs in the IT career field. The program is continuously being improved upon to reflect current job markets and demands. Students are supported through classroom training, support from instructors, certification tests, and hands-on learning opportunities.
RPTA has expanded its Workforce Training programs to include health care career training for a phlebotomy certification. This certification provides adults with the classroom and clinical training needed to secure a high demand job in the healthcare field.
RPTA’s Workforce program includes a construction training program as well. Students receive construction and OSHA safety training. Upon successful completion, they can obtain their safety certifications. Students can work in internships with our licensed training contractors on various community or affordable housing projects to really obtain on-the-job experience and confidence in their new skills.
ALL Workforce students receive support and work readiness training to prepare them for a career in a demanding industry. They receive help as needed with resume writing, preparing for job interviews and more.
